In the wood shop this morning, Jim used the ShopSmith to make mounting holes for the stairwell window sill...

Then attaching it in place...

Jim also used a special bit on the ShopSmith to make his own pegs - typically he would buy them but this way he can use the same wood as the project to make a perfect match.

Then he could pop out the peg...

Then put them into place in the sill...


Perfect!

All the pegs are glued in and Jim is letting them dry a bit...

Sanding the pegged areas...

Then a coat of primer...

Love the way it looks!  


Working on the fit of the other shelf piece...


Countersunk holes to fit over the big bolts on the top of this wall section...


Making mounting holes...

A coat of primer on the back...


After that, he headed down into the metal shop - he got the 120V wire run to boxes and is stuffing insulation in the voids...

Today is a Holy Day so we are off to watch Mass in the living room...
