12.16.2020

It was a bitter cold start to the day - only 4° when I woke up and never got out of the teens.  Sure makes you grateful to be inside where it's safe and warm.

Jim worked on getting the side panels assembled this morning - panel inserted and putting glue on the stile...

Fitting it together...

Clamped and drying...

Then he repeated all those steps with another side piece...

Using his router to make a rounded finish on the edges of the access door for the stairwell...

Then he used the jointer to cut off the edges on the back side...

Leaving the back side looking like this so that it will fit tight in the opening...

Trying it out for size - looks great!

A coat of primer over it...

Then Jim braved the cold and turned his attention to winter storm preparation.  He got the snowblower on the Bobcat, greased it, and put the door on the Bobcat.  He went and got more diesel fuel to be sure we have plenty.

Originally our forecast showed that we were on the northern track of this storm and would probably only get a few inches.  But now they show that we could get between 8" and 16" by the time it's over.  We'll see tomorrow!
High 17/Low 8
