Merry Christmas Eve!  While this night is certainly not like normal this year, it's certainly a time to pause and be thankful.  For those of you reading who didn't know, Kyle (who lives in NYC) has Covid-19, even though he has been extremely careful from the beginning.  He's a week in and is still having lots of symptoms, but thankfully his breathing is still good.  We're hopeful that he'll start feeling better soon!  However, as parents, this causes much anxiety and a very helpless feeling.  No matter how old your "kids" are, you never lose those parental instincts!

This morning, Jim was underneath the kitchen sink, trying to make measurements for all the plumbing and receptacles that he will need to transfer to the back of the new cabinet.  This process is made more difficult because this sink cabinet isn't centered on the window like the new one will be.

Once he transferred his measurements, he drilled corner holes for the receptacle location...

Corner holes done...

Then he used his hand router to make the opening...

All cut out...

Jim also cut the baseboard piece for the metal shop in half and then used his router to make the relief cut on the bottom so that it will lie flush against the floor...

Then a coat of polyurethane on the cabinet side pieces and the back...
