When he got to the site, he used the Bobcat to flatten out the driveway a bit. The driver that delivered the roofing material backed down the driveway after he was done - and kind of missed the driveway at one point. Since it was raining, he really made a trench next to the driveway.
Then Jim got the next ceiling joist in place. He still has fastening to do but it's nice to have a start on these.
After lunch, it was front kitchen window time. So we used the corner flashing pieces again and then our flashing membrane on top.
All flashed and shims in place - ready for the window!
It's in! Jim is fastening it in place.
The outside view...
Putting the flashing on the sides and top to complete the window.
Then we got the other window in!
Both kitchen windows done! No more rain will come in through here!
They look great from the outside - starting to get a finished feel!
We cleaned up the upstairs of all our tools and went into the shop to start prepping for one of the windows there. It was too dark to take any more pictures!
The sun never really made an appearance today so it felt much colder. Our hands and feet were frozen - it was good to get home!
