Jim still went out and worked - thankfully our covered roof sections are making water less of an issue in the shop, although as the rain continues, it obviously starts dripping down more. He had to spend some time working on water - using the squeegee and tried to divert some water on the apartment floor with plastic, which didn't work too well. It's tough because that water puddles and can't go anywhere because of the walls and then it freezes, which makes it hazardous.
But he was able to do some steel fabricating - he got another valley rafter made. So that brings the total made to 4 - 1 is up already and 3 are made. His steel order is supposed to be in tomorrow for the remaining 2.
Then he spent time figuring out the ceiling joists where we decided to have vaulted ceilings. Once he was happy with his plan, he made 4 joists. Those aren't a priority but it will be nice to have them already made when that job rolls around.
Jim loved being able to spend time at the site even when it was rainy. He spent awhile trying to decide how he wants to hang the new florescent light fixtures he bought to try in the lower shop.
I was able to catch up on a few things on the home front and with my typing job, so we feel like it was a productive day even though we couldn't be on the roof. Unfortunately, tomorrow looks like it may continue to be an on/off rain event so we'll have to see how that goes.
