Jim cleaned off the excess caulk on the bathroom window today...

Jim's fix of the broken window worked great and everything stayed in place this whole time...

Styrofoam piece off - now you can see the broken window!

He had to carefully take the old sash out and then put the new window sash in...

Yay - we have a window we can open again!  Jim will be ordering a tempered glass unit and figuring that out soon.  It's a bit thicker so he will have to modify his moulding.  But for now, we're good!

He sorted through his wood pile to find pieces of wood for the upper door panels - started working on flattening them...

Then he glued pieces together for one panel...

Wood for the other panel is drying...

Figuring out the next inverse cut on the cap moulding...

Of course, this takes lots of hand work...

Measuring for the last section...

This area is done and looks fabulous - sure makes a difference in the way it looks!

Jim ran into town and got gas for the mower and started cutting the grass.  He didn't get done with all he wanted because a brief storm moved overhead and he got soaked!  Once he came in, he started taking apart the other window sash...

While the animals were playing nicely together this morning, the big news is that we saw probably a dozen baby turkeys - the smallest ones we've seen.

They were too far away to get a good picture - you have to look very, very closely and see the black dots surrounding the mom!  They were so cute and fun to watch - we're on turkey watch now to see if we can see them again!
