Jim worked on fitting together the "H" portion (the bottom) of the door this morning, measuring to make sure it's flat and square...
Doing more mortise work on the upper rail...
Then mortise work on the stile...
Mid-afternoon, Jim headed to the glass company to order the tempered glass for the window sash he just took apart. Of course, when he ordered the first one, the woman told him that the tempered glass was thicker; today, she told him she could order it the same thickness as the original. Go figure. So he has that on order.
Once home, he decided to continue baseboard work - again, making sure the studs are where he marked first...
Then attaching the plywood backing piece...
