7.16.2021

Jim and I had a good time last night - we went to one of our favorite places in Saratoga, The Local, and then walked down to Ben & Jerry's.  The city was buzzing - it was the first day of track season so lots of people were out and about.

Today, I took my newly-fixed car and headed to town to do grocery shopping.  It was so nice to have it back on the road!

Jim painted the other side of the panels today...

Jim did more moulding work today - he decided to make this block to finish off the area next to the door...

Then he started attaching the moulding in the hallway...

Love how this looks!

This side is all done!

He put more plywood backing pieces in the stairwell upper landing...

Jim wanted to cut the grass in the triangle - there's rain in the forecast for tomorrow and it was getting long.  Watching him cut this hill always makes me slightly nervous although Jim has it all under control!

The thumb Jim ordered for the excavator came in today - this will allow Jim to pick up rocks which will definitely come in handy on this property!

As Jim was looking at the excavator to see how it will attach, he noticed that he's going to have to do some repair work before he can think about attaching the thumb.  Look how this 1/4" steel is bent on the right side!  Nothing is ever as easy as it should be.
