Jim worked on more door work - he did lots of double checking measurements before starting to the cut hole for the doorknob...

He had more sanding to do on all the edges...

Then a coat of primer on the edges...

Before lunch, he headed to Bobcat and the tool supply company to get a few things.  They didn't have the snap ring tool he wanted so he'll have to order that.  He kind of had to work around raindrops - we had bright sunny skies, then a brief shower and back to sunny.  But he was able to continue work on the excavator.  He had huge issues with getting one of the connectors to snap into place, finally having to use a clamp to get it snapped in.

Then he was able to try it out!  He was greatly relieved that it worked - this is the first time he's used the auxiliary function on the excavator so he wasn't sure it would work.  It's so cool how easily he was able to pick up rocks!

The thumb can easily be moved out of the way for normal digging.  Jim feels like the bucket is less sloppy now with the spacers he used so it's a big accomplishment all the way around!

High 71/Low 54 - few periods of showers
