It was so wonderful to wake up in the carriage house this morning! We are still in disbelief that we are finally here!
However, today was another ugly moving day. After breakfast, we took the box truck over to the apartment to load up the rest of the stuff. We had pretty much left my office intact just in case Jim had issues getting the internet working. Since he didn't, we had to dismantle all of that. Here Jim is taking my desk out - another crazy tight squeeze.
We loaded up the truck with most of the big items, then headed back to Angel for lunch. Afterwards, Jim brought the 4Runner back and took 2 more loads of things back! This is the ugly, nitty gritty part - where you have random leftovers that you end up just throwing together in a box. And hangars - how do we always end up with so many hangars when we move?
After Jim took the last load back, I stayed and finished cleaning the apartment. One last look at the old appliances and the lemon yellow kitchen!
No more showers with swans!
Closing the chapter on our life at the apartment. While it definitely was an adjustment, the location and size of the apartment were wonderful. And no matter what - we made it our home for 5 years.
But no more leaving Angel to go to the apartment. We are officially moved in! It may take us awhile to figure out places to put everything, but at least it's all here and we are home!
Thanks to everyone who texted or emailed their congrats and good wishes. We appreciate all of our love and support!
