We continued loading up our vehicles before heading out to the property today so a good chunk of time is spent loading and unloading!
Once in construction work mode, Jim started by staining the window frame of the other window in the living room. He had to cover his desk area to make sure there were no accidents!
Frame all stained...
This window was tougher because of the awning style; Jim basically had to take everything apart to get the sash out. But he got it all stained and back in the window frame at the end of the day (picture to come).
We put the mirror on the back of the dresser and got it in a good position - at least for now!
Pretty!
Protecting the wood floors from furniture is always an issue. The living room furniture came with metal buttons on the bottom of the feet that we covered with felt pads. But those don't stick after awhile and get moved when the furniture is on carpet. So Jim took them off and put nylon feet on the bottom - he'll do that with the rest of the pieces.
At the end of the day, Jim did some trimming around the carriage house...
But mainly he trimmed around the cable box. We have a tech coming out Wednesday to hopefully connect all the cables inside this box so Jim wanted to have it in good shape.
Jim had placed an order with Lowe's that came in, so at the end of the day he took the box truck and went to pick up some plywood, another door and miscellaneous items. Nice to take advantage of the box truck while it's on the road!
