Jim took another load this morning and had to unload and put things away. Yesterday, I emptied out one of the cabinets in the wood shop that we are going to use for a pantry. I just put everything on the ground and Jim had to spend time putting it away in one of the dressers we are repurposing.
I had to run into Staples for a last-minute fire school job, so I picked up a few things Jim wanted at Home Depot. When I dropped them off, I got to see the completed window in the living room...
And some of the pretty cabinet-grade plywood Jim picked up last night at Lowe's.
Spectrum is coming tomorrow to connect our cable lines, so Jim has work to do to get ready for that. He started by cutting a hole in the drywall at the top of this area and pulling down all the wires.
Not too long after I got home, I got a call from Sears. Our washer and dryer redelivery was set for today but again we were told 6:00-8:00 pm, so we had visions of another night sitting around waiting for them. However, this call said that they were ahead of schedule and wanted to deliver about 2:30! They came right on time and started unloading...
Using the straps to pick up the washer...
Carrying it into the carriage house...
Look how gorgeous they are! I'm so excited - of course at this point I have so many new appliances to figure out how to use! These especially are so high-tech that it will really take some studying. Jim will have to investigate all the parts and pieces he needs to hook them up because why would they include things like plugs and hoses when you pay all that money for appliances?
Working on cable wiring...
Jim wanted to build a nice box to house all the media equipment. Using his new plywood, he cut and then milled the pieces...
The box is all glued - looking good!
Up in place, fastened in and the cables into the box. Then Jim started working on connectors.
High 79/Low 62 - nice! |
