The washer and dryer were supposed to be delivered today so in preparation Jim took the railings of the upper staircase .  That design is so great because it really opens up the stairwell that way.

Jim did lots of work in the bathroom yesterday.  We had bought a door handle so he had to take the door off the hinges, bring it into the wood shop and make the hole...

Back on the hinges and the door stop installed, which requires drilling through the porcelain floor.

Then it was time to figure out placement for the toilet paper holder. 

Just like in the downstairs bathroom, we bought a recessed holder, so Jim had to cut a hole in the drywall...

How crazy is this...when Jim cut the drywall out, the JM marking on the insulation was perfectly framed in the hole!  It looks like a picture of Jim's initials!

Jim had put the tv mount on the wall previously but it was just held with a couple bolts.  He found his hardware bag and attached the mount to the wall permanently.  There is a bag with about 5 pounds of hardware to finish the tv installation - it has been 5 years since Jim took it off the wall in Ohio and he said it was going to be like a puzzle to figure it all out.  However, he managed to find the installation guide for the mount in some paperwork so he'll be good to go!

The dehumidifier did a great job of drying out the control room so Jim spent a lot of time moving everything back inside.  Furnace is all buttoned up now too!

The washer and dryer were supposed to be delivered between 6-8pm.  I had scheduled it for 11:00 when I bought them but they said we were at the end of the route and they couldn’t change it.  But they never showed. 

Kyle came up to help us do some moving this weekend - he arrived about 8:00 and we waited and waited.  The delivery app kept pushing back the time of arrival.  I called twice to find out what was happening and they kept saying 10 more minutes.  It was well after 9:00 when we finally got a text saying they weren't coming - unbelievable.  The next time they are in this area is next Friday which won't work because that's when the movers are coming.  A supervisor is supposed to call Monday to see if they can do anything different so stay tuned.  However, it was such a frustrating evening and we wasted so much time.  We didn't get home until after 9:30 and still had to make dinner.  The best laid plans...
