Jim continued his insulation work this morning. In the auto bay, he got more box baffles and baffles put up, extended the three in the middle. Those are ready for insulation so he put up the first piece. He needs to get more of this size insulation.
In the stairwell, he finished up the temporary insulation over the teardrop window opening.
Continuing the quest of keeping the cold out, Jim put weather stripping on the double doors today.
Doing a little shaping of the door sweep at the bottom to fit better with the weather stripping.
Moving on to drywall, Jim first worked on the piece of drywall we got moved over in the wood shop. He got it up and in place and then cut out the boxes.
Creative ways to reach the top screws without moving all the tools!
A nice start to the side wall!
Jim had to rewire both receptacles...
Next, we moved up into the apartment to work on some drywall details. Jim put the last piece on this wall with some scraps we had...
Cutting the piece even with the wall...
Setting the corner bead into place...
He then set the corner bead on the last kitchen wall area...
Fastening the corner bead...
Putting up the drywall on the outside closet wall in the second bedroom...
At the end of the day, we moved the drywall that was on the floor of the master bedroom out into the wall so that we had more room to work in there. We have 5 pieces of 1/2" drywall left in the wood shop and these 5 pieces here - out of all that drywall that was delivered! Amazing!
Then Jim got the light switch taken apart and a couple of pieces started for the other side of the wall.
As I was leaving, we got to test out the security lights - they worked great and we definitely need them now.
Mood lighting in the back yard...
