Jim stuffed insulation in the area where the back wall meets the inside wall and then put the piece of drywall in this area...
Jim spent time this morning doing electric work in the utility room of the metal shop. He added two more receptacles to the front wall. You can also see that he put a couple pieces of insulation here.
As well as added another light box...
Since it was a nice day, Jim wanted to get some outside work done. Time for the soffit underneath the overhang! Jim used the clamps as jigs to hold up one side - once he got it in place, I used the lift to hold up the other side.
Then he was able to fasten it into place...
Predrilling the next piece...
All up and fastening it down...
Cutting the next piece...
Putting it up...
All done for now - looks really good! Jim has to decide how to proceed on the rest - the vents in the soffit don't allow for cutting into smaller pieces. We had solid pieces of the thinner soffit but don't have any for the wide. But the big section is done for now so it's all good.
Then we switched to do a little drywall taping. Jim started back up in the kitchen...
Doing the wall joints...
Then he finished up the day doing this entire area of the front wall of the kitchen!
