It was more work in the auto bay this morning. Jim put up the bottom angle piece on the front side. Then he stuffed insulation in the area next to the inside wall and then was able to get two more pieces of drywall up! He needs to make a trip to the Drywall Center for more baffles and insulation. Then he did some electric work in the woodshop - he got the last light reworked and put the reflectors and bulbs in.
Next, we put up another sheet of drywall in the woodshop. So nice that Jim and Kyle were able to get these back pieces against the back wall. Jim first cuts the notch for the truss angle...
We got the piece in place and Jim is fastening it...
Jim had previously moved the access door jamb back out of the way so that he could use the Rotozip to cut out the drywall
All cut out and Jim is doing final fastening...
We then moved back up into the apartment and started taping in the kitchen...
Using the banjo for the last of the regular joints.
So the rest of the time we used the special tape for different angles...
Working in the nook area...
More angled joints...
Jim had to use two ladders to work on this angle in the hallway by the nook...
Jim decided to do this long angle connection in two pieces to make it a little more controllable...
Smoothing out the joint - this is the last taping in the kitchen!
Some end-of-the-day pictures - I love all these angles in the kitchen!
Banquette nook area...
