I had errands to do today, including going to Home Depot and Lowe's for some parts runs.
Jim was very busy all morning - including making this very cool door jamb for our attic access area. This is out of our pine that Jim got at the local lumberyard.
He also did some insulation work in the stairwell - including stuffing insulation in the sides of the doors and then getting insulation above as well.
Down below in the stairwell, Jim put fiberglass in the cavity where the cable comes in - now he'll be able to fill this cavity above.
In the upper part of the stairway, Jim got more fiberglass insulation in.
The next area we tackled in the apartment was the laundry room. Here Jim is maneuvering a piece into place for the outside of the room...
Putting the screws in...
Cutting out the door area...
Putting up the piece above the door...
Getting a full piece inside around the corner and into place was a bit tricky...
Getting a few screws in to hold it in place...
Cutting out the water valve box for the washer...
Boxes cut, time to do the rest of the fasteners.
We had to knock off a little early because we had to go to church, but Jim wanted to get a piece of drywall over in the corner of the woodshop. It took both of us to maneuver the piece around all the drywall - then Jim got it up against the wall. He'll be able to work on fastening it tomorrow.
