It was another cool day so a perfect one for insulation. Jim made tons of progress!
He got batts up on the knee wall in the second bedroom - this is the area where we put the loose insulation behind the foam board.
He worked in the laundry room making the box baffle from the rigid foam board and putting up the roof baffle.
Then he worked on all the rigid foam work in the knee wall in the laundry room/kitchen area.
Right side of the laundry room knee wall is all complete with rigid foam.
I went to Lowe's this morning and picked up two more bundles of loose insulation and got them all combed and ready to use.
As I combed the insulation, Jim used it to fill up the space behind the knee wall in the closet - he had left an opening to be able to fill it up from the side.
He also started putting down a layer in the bathroom area where the stack is.
Still have more to do but he moved on to more pressing areas...
Like kitchen valley areas!
Continuing on...to do the upper parts, Jim has to go back up into the attic and push them down from above.
This wall is basically done - Jim is leaving this one cavity open in case the inspector wants to see how Jim insulated these areas.
Moving back into the laundry room...
Again, it was back up into the attic to push these top sections down. That's why these cool days have been a blessing!
This ceiling area is all done!
Just for a moral victory, Jim actually put up a couple of insulation batts in the workshop! He said after all the crazy valleys, knee walls and the ceiling in the apartment, this will be easy!
Just a bit of a traffic jam on the way home...the babies have really gotten big!
