7.9.2017

This morning, our neighbor followed Jim to the property so we could finally get our bandsaw moved!  Jim had gotten it all ready and strapped down to the Bobcat last night so he just had to carefully back it out of the carriage house.

Once Jim brought it slowly up to the double doors and got it off the Bobcat forks, Jim tipped it up....

....and over until it was laying on its side on Jim's little wheeled board.

Then they scooted it over to where Jim wanted it.  Then the neighbor stabilized it while Jim lifted it up.

Yay!  It's finally in the wood shop!  This won't be its permanent spot but until we can get all the flooring out of the way, it's perfect here.  So glad that job is crossed off the list!

Then it was back to siding.  Jim started marking the back section...

and used the stud finder to locate all the studs (a tough job since everything is steel!)

We first worked on finishing up the siding next to the living room window.  We got everything finished as much as possible except the little row of shingles underneath the window that have to be cut and predrilled.

Then we moved all our tools and siding pieces so that we could work on the back.  This time, I sat up on the scaffolding and handed Jim the pieces he needed.

Making progress so time to make more markings...

End-of-the-day picture...lots of great progress made today!

High 77/Low 57 - beautiful!
