Jim continued working on final details of the shoring - all of the screws are in the stringers and the secondary shoring posts are screwed into the stringers as well.

He also turned his focus towards plumbing...finishing the stacks.  I ran to the plumbing supply store to pick up a few extra pieces so that he could press on.

Gluing up parts and pieces!

At the end of the afternoon, we decided to work on backfilling the septic system a bit more.  First, Jim covered the distribution tank with gravel.

Then layers of sand over the pipes.

Then dirt on top of the sand.

Always some hand shoveling - at least it's sand this time around!  Jim has to make sure that the pipe sits correctly in the trench - if he just dumped all the sand on at once, the middle would sag down out of position.  So it has to be layered.

More sand...

And more dirt and grading....

Little more handwork involved...

All the infiltrator lines and pipes are covered up - we had pulled out lots of rocks so we gathered all those up too.  Things are looking good!
