Wow...the deck really looks good from farther up on the lot!  Jim worked this morning doing a few more deck details - I ran into Lowe's to buy more conduit to be used to hold the wire off the deck.

Then we moved indoors and started working on shoring and scaffolding.  Jim had to make some more wood blocks to put underneath one of the towers...

...and screw the blocks together with a base plate.

New base plates in place and leveling the framework.

Putting up the steel girder...

...and setting it up into place and then fastening it all down.

Next, it was time to work on the shoring posts that were delivered last week.  First, Jim wanted to find the center of the beam so he brought out his laser measure to find the distance...

...and then find the exact center.

Then it was time to compact the area where the post would go.

He had to make more wood blocks for these posts to sit on too.

Once we got it screwed up to the beam, he clamped the top.

And then made sure it was all level.

If you can look closely between the scaffolding, we put up 3 beam supports.  We have one more to go but that will require taking part of the temporary wall down so we didn't do that today.

Then it was back out to work on the last infiltrator line.  Paper in place...

...and starting to fill it up.

Just a few of the big rocks that I pull out!  At the end of the day, we have to pick them all up again and Jim dumps them into our ever-expanding rock pile.

All done!

Then Jim worked a little more on putting sand around the pipes and then grading more.  Looks great!
