5.12.2015

Jim started the morning by going to exchange the acetylene tank.  That all went well.  Conventiently, the plumbing supply store is next door so he went and purchased another roll of Pex to do the stairwell circuit.  He had bought the big 1000' roll on eBay and got such a good deal but needed a smaller roll too.

He just got back to the land and got everything set up to begin the modification on the back side of the rebar hooks....and it started raining.

However...a side note on the weather.  We were really dry - it hadn't rained in weeks.  At least at the apartment, we got quite a bit of rain overnight and then it rained for at least a half hour today.  No puddles, no mud - it just all soaks in.  Amazing!

We kept busy doing what we could....here Jim is cutting little pieces of Pex to put over the rebar joints so that the Pex is resting on them instead of the rebar.

It eventually stopped raining and Jim was able to get all of the hooks reworked.

After that, it was back to backfilling.  Here's Jim with another load - I stay at the bottom and keep all the rocks away from the building.

Jim shoveling dirt next to the dimple board.

Our big dirt pile is all gone - yay!  It makes everything look great!  We can now walk up onto the deck with out a ladder!

After we were done working on that, we used the rest of the time for some cleanup...a couple of bucketsful of rocks...

...and miscellaneous tree parts.
