Happy Birthday, Kyle!  Hope you had a good day!

We started our day off by traveling down to Albany.  Unfortunately, because of a horrible fatal semi truck accident, we were diverted off the highway and had a really long detour.

Our first stop was the steelyard.  Jim wanted to see what they had in their "scrap" section.  He was hoping that there were pieces he could use to make the rest of the girders for the scaffolding.  But there wasn't.  He ordered some new pieces to be delivered and they'll come on Wednesday.

After that was done, we went back to the supply house where we have purchased our dimple board and other miscellaneous building components.  They have a section that rents all different kinds of shoring - Jim ordered 4 shoring posts that will also be delivered this week.

Once he got to the land, Jim picked up where he left off yesterday with some backfilling.  He's still being very careful around the building, so this involves getting scoops of dirt with the Bobcat, dumping them, and picking out all the big rocks that roll to the bottom.  This dirt is so amazing - it's like fine topsoil.  So then Jim shovels the good dirt up around the building so that there will always be a good layer of dirt only on the dimple board.

Here comes more scoops.  I was the rock picker again today.

More shoveling near the building...it's getting high!

Wow - Jim can just about get on the deck now - no ladder required!

Our dirt piles are really shrinking, which is making that area look really nice too.

At the end of the day, we made first contact with the top of the dimple board!  Just in time - we got some much needed rain during clean up time!
