5.15.2015

After a good night's sleep, our bodies recovered nicely from yesterday's work, except maybe our fingers!  Both Jim and I said we really proved the old adage "working your fingers to the bone!"

But it was back to work...Jim got all the rest of the wire done and I went back to cable tie work.  At lunchtime, I made a quick parts run to Lowe's to get another piece of conduit.  We had enough but Jim changed the way he wanted to do the stairwell circuit so we needed another piece.

After lunch, we got out the new roll of Pex to cut the stairwell circuit.

This was a smaller roll so a little bit easier to unroll (easy for me to say...I just held the end!)

Even though this is the smallest circuit, it was a really tough one because it had 3 separate bends of conduit that Jim had to thread through before he could start laying it out.

All done and wire on top!

All the cable ties in place!

Wow - that step is all done!  Although Jim will probably inspect each inch of the deck twice before concrete, this part is in really good shape and looks terrific!

We had a couple distractions today...a neighbor from around the corner stopped by.  He's actually the father of the guy who has stopped up a couple times looking for work.  He was interesting to talk to though because he has lived here for a long time and knew lots of history about the property.  It's funny - every time we meet someone who knows the property, they tell us how they hunted/trapped/snowmobiled on our property.

We also got the delivery of our beam support posts - they were supposed to come yesterday but never did.  We also got word that our new scaffolding should hopefully be delivered on Tuesday.
