This morning, Jim had to first prep the rest of the upper landing for the backer board. Some of the screws needed to be just tightened up so they were completely flat but others Jim took out and countersunk them so the surface was completely flat. Then he cut all the pieces he'll need...
It was a gorgeous day so in the afternoon, we headed outside to do some clean up work. All the work we did on the stone wall last year definitely paid off but things were definitely growing. Jim started trimming...
Look at the difference!
Then we spent some time clearing up the edges of the woods on the right side of the lower driveway. Those darn pricker bushes are horrible and start extending out where Jim tries to mow so we worked to get those all cut down as well as some small trees...
Again - what a difference!
When we were finished, Jim took the metal detector along where we thought the property pin was - we found a piece of rebar stuck in the ground where we think the pin is. Other than that, we just found tin and aluminum cans!
