Happy May Day - such a fun day when your name is May!  

Jim worked in the wood shop this morning designing and starting some of the millwork on the sills that will be used to transition from the step to the tile floors on the next two landings.  Pictures to come!

Then he started laying out the tile - these are the only full pieces of tile in this space...

So that means lots of cutting, which Jim started doing and then laying the pieces out...

Definitely a pretty backdrop to Jim's using the tile saw...

Continuing to place tiles while leaving room for us to walk too...

The last pieces are cut - the tricky ones underneath the steps...

Jim got the chipper out and cleaned out the air filter...

We got the rest of our pile of cut trees and branches all chipped up...
