Happy Mother's Day to everyone - but especially my mom who I miss terribly and can't wait to see soon!  

I went into Lowe's this morning to pick up more tile and stopped at the grocery store quick.  When I got home, Jim had cleaned, prepped and painted the next stairwell spindle frame...

He also put another coat of primer on the spindle slats...

Then it was time to mix up another batch of thin set...

Putting the thin set into place for the last piece of backer board in this section...

Setting it into place...

Fastening it down...

Next, he taped all the seams...

A coat of thin set on top of the tape...

This section is done and ready for tile...

After Jim was finished, he had to go outside and power spray all of his tools.  Then he turned his attention to the lawn mower and its charging issue.  He got it charged up and did some grass cutting.  Then he brought it into the shop where he can plug it in and investigate a bit further.
