Jim worked this morning helping me update my car's nav system as well as some other paperwork.  Once he was in the shop, he sanded the next grouping of railing slats...

Then a coat of primer on them.  Later in the day, he did the other side as well.

Getting electricity working in the pole barn is on Jim's short-term to do list.  He figured out where he wanted the breaker box to be - that requires drilling through one of the beams for the conduit.  First he drilled a pilot hole...

Then he used his hole saw to drill the right size hole for the conduit.  He had to drill through both sides of the beam because it is so thick...

We had a security light on the front of the house by the garage doors but it never worked great.  Jim bought a Ring security light that will connect to the Ring doorbell by the stairwell.  Taking the old one off...

Getting it hooked up to the network.  Jim still has some settings to work on before we try it out.

At the end of the day, he got the lawn mower working and did some grass cutting.

Once Jim came inside, he got the connection to the security camera working...

Then we went outside and tried it out and tested the lights.  This is just an added piece of security - now both doors are covered with motion detectors and recording devices.
