5.23.2021

We had a wonderful evening with Kyle last night, eating dinner and catching up on lost time!  After breakfast this morning, Jim and Kyle headed down to the metal shop where Kyle continued working on the sink.

Unfortunately, before noon, he nicked his knuckle with the grinder through his leather gloves.  It bled so much and they couldn't get it stopped so we all jumped in the car and drove him to the urgent care center in Saratoga.  Covid protocols are still in place so we had to wait outside while Kyle went in.  Over two hours later and 3 stitches and he was almost as good as new.  The doctor told him he was lucky - if it would have hit the knuckle cap instead of just to the side, he would be looking at surgery.  So there's always something to be thankful for but we sure hated for our visit to end up like that!

Once we were home, he was back to work - it really turned out nice.  I can't wait to see pictures of the finished product!

Jim spent some time starting to assemble the lift components inside the post on the car lift...

It was so good to have Kyle with us for a bit - we sure enjoyed the visit (minus the injury!).  He took off after dinner heading back to NYC.
