Jim finished all the initial cuts for the shelves...

Then he set up the Shopsmith so he could drill the holes for the adjustable shelves...

All holes drilled...

When the weather gets warm, one of our main projects is to get the auto bay floor epoxied.  You first have to etch the concrete so that the epoxy will bond.  That's usually done with acid and acid + foam walls would be a disaster.  So Jim is trying another product the company recommended - he did a little test today.  It did etch the concrete; he's just not sure if it's etched enough.  He is going to do a little more research.

Then it was back outside - the plan was to use the chipper to clean up all the piles we've cut recently before the snow comes tomorrow night!  The chipper started right up with its new battery and ran like a champ.

Putting some big trees through the chipper...

The side of the woods is looking so clean and good!

This pine tree is being eaten by one of the beech trees - it has grown right on top of it and has branches growing out the front of it!  Jim cut part of it down; he'll need his bigger chain saw for the rest of it.

Getting this area all cleaned up...

So the consensus on our tree damage is that it is a pileated woodpecker (thanks Cindy and Ann!).  This is an online picture - looks just like our tree damage!
