Jim worked in the shop this morning, putting the Formica on the shelves for the cabinets...

He spent quite awhile on the phone talking to the company that makes the epoxy that he wants to use on the auto bay floor.  He got most of his questions answered and placed an order for the epoxy and the top urethane coating, as well as silica to add to the coating so that it won't be too slippery.  His big question now is about the etching.  They recommended trying a second coat of the more-friendly etching material so he did another test spot...

It was a beautiful day so he headed out to Northern Hardwoods to pick up a sheet of maple cabinet grade plywood so that he can make the back of the other cabinet.  He ordered it on the phone, called when he was there, and they brought it out to the car.  Very little human contact!

They have beautiful plywood there - so clear.  It's a little bigger than standard big box plywood as well - it was a tight fit in the back of the 4Runner.

Once he got home and unloaded the plywood, he went into town to get gas for the mower.  He did the first mowing of the season!
