Jim was very happy to arrive at the property this morning and see that the gas line he has been testing was still maintaining pressure.  He opened up the rest of the line to the furnace and is testing that with low pressure right now.  Getting close to being ready to call the gas company!

It was a really gorgeous day so Jim put some more window screens in.  Check out these screens - we opted for a new type screen for some windows - you can hardly tell there is a screen on!

Jim did more stair work, making and installing risers on the last run.  He ran out of plywood so he will be using some of the wood he bought locally last year that has been drying.

He continued to work on the new design for the handrail.  This isn't complete yet, but I really like the way it looks.  However, Jim wanted to be able to take all of the handrails and spindles out in the event that it was necessary - like for moving.  He's still coming up with possibilities for that.

Later in the afternoon, it was time to switch over to flooring, working on the last area in the kitchen.

The rest of this area will be underneath the sink and cabinets so Jim is stopping here temporarily.  He wants to insure that he has enough flooring to finish the closet in the second bedroom.

But working in the closet required Jim to do the last of the hand planning on the floor joints.

He had just enough time to get started on the flooring but he got the difficult pieces done that had to be notched around the door frame.

I played around with the refrigerator today - taking off all the plastic over all the bins and shelves.  It's like Christmas with all these new appliances!

High 74/Low 44 - gorgeous!
