With our new sign, the furnace room is now officially the Control Room!

Jim had a big job to do in the Control Room this morning - converting the furnace from natural gas to propane.  They come standard set for natural gas and there is a converter kit - now they sell the furnace and converter kit as a package but when Jim bought our furnace it didn't come with it - and they are quite pricey.  However, Supply House sent us the kit free of charge when Jim called - yay!  This is a before picture of the inside of the furnace....

And more of a close up of the part Jim had to replace...

Jim had to take apart the whole front of the furnace to get at this part - this is what it looks like after he got the part out...

And this is the whole assembly that Jim had to take apart to replace the gas/air mixer.

This was obviously quite the project but Jim got the new part on and everything reassembled.  Then for the first time, he temporarily powered up the furnace so the display came alive!

Since he was working on the furnace, Jim installed our Nest thermostat!

Later in the afternoon, it was back to flooring in the second bedroom...

Wow!  Jim got some of the hard pieces done today - like against the closet that all had to be hand nailed and screwed.  He'll be able to just press forward!  It's crazy because when you walk in the apartment now, all you see is finished floors!

Jim cut his day a bit short so he could do some grass cutting.  The weather has been so picture perfect for quite awhile now - low 70s during the day, 40s and 50s overnight, and not a cloud in the sky!
