Jim worked in the bathroom this morning on the baseboard heating.  He figured out where the holes needed to go for the plumbing and drilled them through the porcelain tile - not easy but no issues thankfully!

Then the new end cap extension will cover all the plumbing up!

So next the toilet which should have been easier than it was.  Jim put it in place and it rocked both from the side-to-side and the back-to-front positions.  Jim carried it down the stairs to the workshop where he measured the levelness - and it was badly cast because it was not level at all.  And this was a good Kohler toilet!  Jim had to find a grinding wheel that would work - his concrete one worked well.  However, it took 4 trips up and down the stairs tweaking it before he was happy!

The toilet's last trip up the stairs - thank goodness!

Sitting firmly in place...

Jim also got the rest of the baseboard heaters installed in the living room...

and the bedroom...

To help with getting things off the floor, Jim hung the tv mount back up on the wall!

Then it was flooring time.  Again, one of those days where nothing was easy.  It was extremely difficult to be able to hand nail the last row of flooring against the wall.

There wasn't even enough room for Jim to hammer normally - he had to use the side of the hammer.

Because he couldn't get the nails in perfectly, it distorts the tongue of the flooring a bit which means that the next piece doesn't fit well.  Jim actually trimmed some of the tongue of the next piece and it fit well.  You can see he had to use multiple screwdrivers to help hold the piece in place.  He put one piece in with the screws but will leave the rest of that row for scrap pieces of wood when we're done.

Time to move over to the other side - this is the keel board so Jim has to insert all the splines...

Then color them...

Putting down the first piece on this side...

End-of-the-day picture - getting close!

Jim had a late night - he went to Lowe's after cleaning up and didn't get home til almost 7:30.
