Jim did more work in the furnace room today. Unfortunately, part of that work was redoing some of the plumbing. As I explained yesterday, once Jim got the apartment pump in place, the location of the shutoff valve interfered with the path of the pipe. So this is a before picture (with Jim's heat shield behind it)...
And this is the after. He basically cut the two return pipes and put an elbow in them, thereby bringing it out farther away from the rest of the plumbing so it won't interfere.
Now that some of this return plumbing is in place, it allows Jim to continue on with the design of the next steps. He's got more parts coming this week.
After this work, he went back up into the apartment to do some more plastering. He basically got the second coat on all of the tapered joints in the hallway.
Jim came home a little early this afternoon. Our plan was to go to Lowe's this evening because we have to start figuring out the shower area. It so happened that we sold my old office chair on Craigslist and the woman was able to meet us in Lowe's parking lot this evening for the transaction. Then we were able to go pick up a few things and talk showers before heading home.
