But our little town sure knows how to take care of snow...the sidewalk plows were out in full force on my way home form the post office.
Jim decided that he would wait until about 2:00 to plow when the storm was about half over. So in the morning, he worked in the furnace room. He's getting ready to order our water softener so he was doing some wiring in advance of that. He also wired up the electric baseboard heater we got for this room as a backup heating system. Wiring wasn't easy since the insulation was in place but he got it done.
Then he put a piece of drywall up and got all the electric back working.
Next, he got the baseboard heater all mounted and the wires through. He still has to do some heater wiring but things are taking shape!
Time to plow...you can see how deep it was this afternoon and the snow was still falling. Because there is so much snow, it's slow going trying to plow and dump all this snow plus there is still the layer of thick ice underneath.
It took well over 2 hours to plow the driveway. Afterwards, he went upstairs and did some corner plastering in the kitchen.
Hard to believe that's my car under all that snow!
Unfortunately, Jim's snow issues didn't end once he got home. Our landlord hadn't plowed the parking lot all day and it was a mess. Of course, he starts asking everyone to move their cars. Easier said than done. We left mine there but Jim ended up pushing people to get their cars out. Then he had to park it across the street, wait til the guy plowed, and then move his car back. When all he wanted to do was to take a shower and sit down!
High 22/Low 9 - at least another foot of snow! |
