Jim and I watched the Super Bowl last night.  While we were hoping the Eagles would win (actually just wanted the Patriots to lose!), we were hoping for lots of touchdowns.  Jim's plumbing supply company, SupplyHouse, was offering 1% off for every touchdown.  It was a great game for that, so Jim will be putting in an order today for our other pump and miscellaneous parts with a nice discount!

We got well over a foot of snow yesterday and last night.  Here's what my car looked like this morning...

When Jim got to the property, the snow was so high at the end of the driveway from the plows that he didn't think he would be able to break through.  He drove over and over it sideways trying to get it compacted enough that he could get over.  He finally did and then backed up and got a running start to try and make it up the driveway.  But this was as far as he got so he had to walk up the rest of the way.

However much of a pain the snow can be right now while we aren't living there and can't take care of things the way we'd like, you can't help but be awed about how beautiful things look - check out that gorgeous sky!  You can see the huge piles in the front of the garage doors and by the stairwell where the snow fell off the roof.

Once he got inside, he did some work in the stairwell.  In order to get the next piece of drywall fit perfectly on the side wall, Jim had to just put a few screws in the drywall pieces on the back wall that were just leaning against the wall until Jim can do the furnace venting.  Once those were held in place, he was able to get the side piece attached.

Look how amazing that looks from the apartment landing!

After lunch, Jim had to venture back out to tackle the driveway.  Just getting the Bobcat out of the garage and over all that fallen snow was a challenge, let alone hand digging out the bucket and getting that attached.  Here he's plowing down to the car...

He had a very scary moments with the Bobcat, not sure if he would be able to get it back up the hill.  You can see that underneath the snow is just solid ice.  He had to do some maneuvering around to get the Bobcat back up.

The after picture - Jim got everything cleared off and was then able to drive the 4Runner up the driveway.  Everything is in good shape now - until Wednesday when the next storm comes.  Poor Jim.

The plowing duties took over 2 hours, not counting some of the clean up work.  Jim always tries to clean off the tracks a bit so all the snow doesn't make a huge mess inside the carriage house.

Then he went back into the apartment and did more plastering.  He still managed to get all the screws done in the kitchen as well as the 3rd coat on the tapered joints on the walls.  Amazing!
