Jim and I are continually amazed at all the snow removal equipment in this little town. They have a sidewalk machine with a snow blower on it too. And all the machines that remove all the snow from the tree lawn - crazy!
Angel was quite beautiful today with the blue skies, green trees and sparkling snow - even more so because Jim didn't have to plow any of that sparkling snow today!
Instead, he was able to spend time in the furnace room. His next task was to get the last piece of drywall on this wall section. However, this was a hugely complicated area to work in. He had to first start by taking apart the pump control box, the light fixture and the house grounding wire. He also had to make and attach some blocking to use for bringing out the electricity for the furnace.
Check out all the small holes Jim had to make in this piece! He had to buy a special receptacle box for "old work" because he wasn't attaching it to a stud.
Such a tight fit to get it behind the plumbing for the lawn hydrant! In fact, he had to get out his heat gun and bend the pipe just a bit.
In place and wires are through!
Then he had to resize the blocking behind the pump controls and get that all hooked back up as well as wire up the thermostat for the electric baseboard heater.
Done! There was a ton of work in this piece so this was amazing progress today.
At the end of the day, Jim went back up into the apartment to continue plastering, doing the many corners in the kitchen.
