12.4.2017

Jim worked this morning to get the first light up in the auto bay!  This required taking all the workings out of the light because all of these have to be retrofit to the better bulbs.  Jim had to put anchors into the drywall to hold up the light - it worked great and it looks really good!

He also spent time finishing up all the insulation next to and around this window in the wood shop.

At lunchtime, Jim took a trip to the lumber yard and picked up some more pieces of pine - he has them standing up in the auto bay to start drying out a bit.

Once he got back, we got the next piece of drywall marked and moved over.  Then Jim backed it into place.

Starting to fasten...

Cutting out the window...

All done!

Jim had me put primer on a piece of wood he planed down from wood he had bought previously.  He's planning on using this piece for the other garage door installation.

Since we had the primer out, Jim painted the plywood that the furnace will mount to.

Not too much of the day left, but back up in the apartment it was time to open our 4th bucket of plaster!

After I got the old bucket and mixing tools, I headed home.  Jim started plastering the other valley rafter in the kitchen.  Now both valleys have the first coat on - and look great!
