12.23.2017

After our 8" of snowfall yesterday, this morning we had probably 1/2" of ice on top of it.  So another day where I stayed home while Jim went to the property.  Although it was a very short day for him - we decided to go to church in town at 4:00.

But, of course, Jim manages to still get lots done!

He worked on finishing the drywall around the double doors and got the plumbing bracket back in place (we took it down awhile ago to help get drywall underneath).

Then he made and put up the piece of angle that will be needed to do the drywall on the back corner of the wood shop.

He put up the next piece of drywall on the bathroom wall - this piece had to go around the metal support bar for the trusses.  Then he worked on putting wood around the door opening.  Because of the truss location, he couldn't put the stud exactly where he wanted it, so he had to have the stud inset from the frame (you can see it better on the bottom of this picture).  He had to extend the top out and then plane wood to get things to fit perfectly.  It's all ready for the door jamb.  However, the main motivation to get this done is so that Jim can put drywall in this area now.

All that planing made lots of man glitter (aka sawdust)!
