It got cold overnight and is supposed to get even colder tonight. So of course we were so anxious to see how the carriage house held its temperatures throughout the night. When Jim got there this morning, the temps were still in the mid 40s! We were so thrilled - all that insulation work is definitely paying off!
So Jim continued more today - he put the remaining angle piece on the hip in the stairwell. Then he was able to finish stuffing all the fiberglass insulation.
Then he put drywall on the stairwell ceiling!
He did more stuffing of the tops of the blocking in the wood shop - then he put up drywall over the top of the door. He picked up some J-channel trim at the Drywall Center last time he was there - it fits around the drywall edges and makes for a really nice look around the doorframe.
He continued drywall work in the metal shop utility room - this wall is now done, complete with J-channel at the top! Looks so good!
I had to do some Lowe's order pickups and returns today as well as pick up fire school flyers at Staples. So it was early afternoon by the time I got back home. Jim suggested I just stay home and work so I can't wait to see all this in person.
