Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband - 28 years! We continue to be blessed and grateful!
But still a work day. Jim worked on a multitude of different things this morning - including stuffing insulation behind all of the Pex tubing in the wood shop bathroom. Definitely not an easy job to get behind all of that. We have some scary cold temperatures in the forecast so we are pressing on to keep things as warm as possible.
Jim's next big project is to build the wall at the back side of the utility room where it intersects with the stairs. At lunch, he picked up a load of steel and possibly our last bag of insulation!
He needs to resize the door frame a bit - we ended up making the room a bit bigger after we first started, so Jim drilled through the concrete to put down a piece of track on the floor and put up the first stud.
He put track on the back wall too...
Putting up the first stud - again, difficult to be able to get screws in with the decking material.
Jim took a break from the steel so we could put up our drywall in the wood shop. First, he had to stuff the little area at the top.
Then take apart two receptacles...
He put the first little piece at the top and then slid the piece over into place...
Fastening...
Just a few more screws to put in but another piece up and the last full piece on this wall!
Then he went back to working on the wall. He had to attach the track to the underside of the steel he used for the steps. That steel is very heavy gauge so he first had to predrill the holes. Then he fastened the track from the top down so that no screw points were exposed.
Another view from the stairs...
