12.8.2017

Kind of a crazy day.  Jim had to start his day back at the building inspector's office.  When Jim stopped to deal with the building permit the other day, Jerry also mentioned that he didn't have a copy of our septic inspection.  Groan.  Jim went through his paperwork and found his copy.  The original was addressed to the building inspector.  So Jim took the copy today to show him.  And lo and behold, he went through his files and found it.

Back at the property, Jim spent all morning trying to redo the switch box.  He threw away the switch that had the screws break off, but a new switch has to attach in the same place - which was the hole in the plastic box with a broken screw stuck in it.  He had to really tear apart part of the box - not easy since it is full of all the wires for 2 3-way switches.  But he eventually got it and put this metal frame on it.  Then he was able to fasten the switch in a different area.  Just a lot of unexpected work.  Plus, he was using his Rotozip and a part broke off that we can't find anywhere.  Sigh.

He worked on stuffing insulation in the walls in the metal shop too - plus he had to put up some blocking to isolate the Pex tubing.

Once I got to the property, we first brought over the next piece of drywall in the wood shop.

The piece is up in place and Jim is doing some additional marking for the window frame.

Piece all fastened down and window all cut out...

Then we moved back down to the metal shop.  I started marking the next piece...

Jim moved it into place...

and then got it tucked underneath the decking...

Fastening...

All up!
