This is the electric wire we had used to go from the meter pedestal to the temporary meter. When we dug that up to put in permanent power last year, Jim rolled up the wire so it will be ready to use to power the pump.
He got the wire to the controls - he just needs to get a different breaker for the box before he can wire it in.
Getting the brackets up for the pump manifold...
But the big project today was building the wall in the bathroom for the shower. This wall will also carry all the media cables down into the shop where Jim will set up a special area to accommodate all that.
He first figured out placement of the wall as well as where he wanted the media cable pass through.
He attached the bottom track to the wooden plate and then drilled the hole.
Next, he had to transfer the hole placement onto the Durock.
Then he had to drill a bunch of holes around the area until he could basically chisel out the hole in the Durock.
Then he took everything back down into the workshop and started working on drilling the holes for the Pex water lines.
The shower base looks great! You can see that he had to change his initial stud placement markings because he remembered he had to leave room for the shower controls in the middle (always thinking!).
Time to glue down the base plate...
Making sure it's set...
Then fastening it in place with screws...
Then Jim used his hole saw to drill through the deck...
Fastening down the track...
Then he glued the conduit pass through for the media cables... That was a ton of work for what looks like a little wall! But it is crucial to get that wall going so a huge accomplishment!
More insulation at the end of the day. Working down the hallway...
Now that Jim put the wire provisions for the thermostat in place, he can go back and insulate that cavity. A lot of these areas are difficult to insulate because there's so many fixtures and wires in the ceiling.
This section of hallway ceiling is all done!
Working in the kitchen ceiling...more difficult areas.
Last piece for the night - making good progress on the insulation too!
