Jim did lots more trim work today. Here is the inside corner trim boards installed along with the flashing pieces.
Next, he installed the corner trim boards and flashing on the stairwell.
Next, he set up the laser level. He wanted to get a level line marked to use as reference for the siding installation.
Marking the line on the wall...
To mark a line on the front, Jim had to crawl on the scaffolding!
Using the level to draw a reference line....
More trim pieces primed...
Installing the front corner trim boards...
This is the corner trim board for the back corner of the carriage house.
Front trim all installed - just about ready for shingles!
Jim did more work on the west wall siding - he got all of the step flashing pieces made and installed. Here he's cutting more siding pieces for next to the step flashing.
He had a tough time working around and behind the scaffolding today to install more siding pieces - the scaffolding legs were in the way when trying to put fasteners in the siding pieces. In fact, he broke a siding piece because he had to try and fasten it in a different place because of the location. To make matters worse, he kept smacking his head on various scaffolding parts.
He finally moved on to installing the back corner trim. Here he's driving in a couple screws part way to help when he has to both hold it in place and fasten it down.
Up in place and fastening it down...
The above pictures make it look like Jim is working on the ground when actually this is what it looks like from the ground!
I was finally able to paint on our outside siding station...
...as well as inside, so I got over 150 siding pieces painted today plus the rest of the 3rd pallet pieces unwrapped and separated.
