Jim got lots done in the morning before I got there after running some errands.

He did some more work on bringing his table saw back to life...

He got both side window frame trim pieces done and primed.

And the flashing made for the sides of the windows.

Then he got all of the marking figured out for shingle placement.

Now that Jim is against the gable wall, there is again a lot of cutting.  He finally decided to bring the shear up into the apartment, even though it was really heavy taking it up all the stairs.  However, it saves a lot of trips up and down to make the siding pieces so it was definitely worth it.

It's really tough to get pictures of this side of the carriage house between the bright sunshine and the angle from below.  But Jim's making good progress.  Although as luck would have it, one row of shingles hit right where the bracing is between pieces of sheathing.  Yesterday, he hit the bottom of the track.  Both of these situations required Jim to use screws for every piece of sheathing on those rows.

Meanwhile, it was back to painting.  When Jim gets to open areas, he can really go through shingles so I have to continue painting to keep up with him.

End of the day - looking really good!
