And driving away! It's kind of funny - these machines become almost part of the family so it's sad when they leave! This was a great machine and sure did lots of work for us.
The guy did bring us some honey from his honey farm so that will be fun to try!
Kyle & Julia are coming up this weekend - it will be nice to see them. They haven't seen the carriage house since the beginning of February - I think things have changed just a bit! If the weather cooperates, Jim is hoping to get Kyle's help in getting the trench dug for the water line from the pump to the carriage house.
So it was a total switch from shingles - Jim had to figure out what parts and pieces he would need for the various jobs. Here he's rolling out the water line that we have to see if it will reach.
Doing some measurements...
By this time, it was lunch. Jim came home and ate and then went on a parts run. He had to go to the plumbing supply store and then stopped at the roofing company. They are able to get the soffit that Jim wants so he talked to them about giving him a quote.
After all that, it was fairly late in the afternoon by the time Jim got back to Angel. He got the lawn hydrant ready with new connectors and then brought down the excavator.
Marking the line for trenching to the lawn hydrant.
It was back to painting shingles...
These are the discombobulated days that Jim hates - he feels like he doesn't accomplish anything. But of course it's all necessary and par for the course sometimes.
