Jim brought up all his tools and the newly-welded steel framing piece today...
We started off doing measurements of where Jim wanted the finished concrete to go and marked the posts with appropriate lines. We marked locations on the steel where Jim needed to put fasteners to hold the forms to the posts. Jim had to do some hand digging to get the first form to fit...
Using clamps to hold it in the precise spot...
Perfectly level...
Fastening the form to the post...

Front form is in place...
Attaching last form in place - everything came out perfectly level all the way around!
There were a crazy number of antlion (aka doodlebug) holes on the soil underneath the pavilion...
Jim got all his tools and equipment put away and then did some trimming to finish out the afternoon.
