Jim again started the day by working on the window frame in the master bedroom - last coat of polyurethane.
As well as the last coat on the bottom window sash...
After lunch, he headed up on the scaffolding to do some final painting!
Only Jim could perch up on a piece of wood on the roof like this and paint!
Working on the front of the dormer...
Jim still has a little caulking he wants to do on some of the lower areas but he did a little painting...
The dormer is officially done on the outside!! Looks beautiful!
Another view of the stairwell. Won't be long before all this scaffolding and roof jacks can come down!
Jim had prepped three of the pole barn garage door panels for painting, sanding off their factory finish.
Using the air compressor to clean all the dust off...
Then Jim went into the shop to get the paint and sprayer ready. As he was stirring up the paint, he noticed that it was much thinner than what he had just been painting with on the outside. We looked at the paint can and noticed that they had given us interior instead of exterior paint! I should have noticed but obviously didn't. So off to Lowe's I went, hoping that they would refund/exchange. Thankfully they did with no problem. In fact, we got the best quality exterior paint and with the rebate sale that ended today, it ended up being cheaper than we paid for the interior! So it all worked out, besides the time and trip.
Jim used the time I was gone to sort through some of our old plywood that's stored up near the shed. He found two good pieces that he's going to use to block off the cantilever windows in the house so that he can get them both stained and finished, as well as the man door by the house garage doors - that's another upcoming painting project.
Once I was back with the right paint, Jim went ahead and started painting...
One done - working on the other two...
All three panels are painted and drying! Of course, that's the easy, glamorous part of the job. Jim then had to spend another 45 minutes at least cleaning the gun and putting everything away.
Some more trail cam pictures...
