A coat of polyurethane on the porthole window too...
Then he painted the other side of the switch box brackets...
Jim wanted to do more grading on the side of the stairwell and around the generator to help control water flow.
Looking really nice...
The generator has been sitting on its pad; however, it has been bolted to the shipping pallet. Time to get it off the pallet. Jim put the forks on the Bobcat and lifted it up and off the pad.
Then he took off the bolts attaching it to the shipping pallet...
Next he tied straps to the holes on the bottom of the generator and the forks of the Bobcat...
Then he lifted it up, I moved the pallet out of the way, and then he set it down on the pad.
Unstrapping...
Centering it a bit more...
That step is done!
Jim has to hand dig the trench for the gas line to the generator so he started on that. He'll just do it in phases so he doesn't wear himself completely out!
Jim wants to get a concrete pour done before winter, including a pad outside the stairwell door. So he just quickly made some forms to see if we liked the size. We do so he'll be able to continue getting that project going as well.
Jim did some grass cutting at the end of the day - might be nearing the end of that summer duty.
High 81/Low 64 - nice! |
